Club History
In early 2012 the two clubs of Tubberclair and Tang GAA met and decided to set up a girl’s football club for the two parishes. Prior to this, girls had to travel outside the local area to have any club football. Typically, Tang girls went to Moate and Tubberclair girls travelled to Garrycastle. The club started out as Tubberclair/Tang and after a vote of our members it was decided to rename the club Goldsmith Girls. It has since being renamed as Goldsmiths LGFA.
In 2020, we amalgamated with Maryland GAA to provide football for all three local parishes of Tubberclair, Tang and Drumraney. A new club crest and Jersey were also designed in 2021. Starting out in 2012 with 78 members and today we proudly have close to 180.
