Registration MUST be in place for all players by 31st March of this year. A non-registered player is not permitted to play or train, and only fully registered players can avail of the GAA player injury fund while training and playing matches.

The last blitz of the season for the U8’s and U10’s was held last Saturday Tubberclair GAA
The girls had great fun and played some fabulous football.
Goldsmiths played teams from Castledaly, Caulry Ladies GAA, Garrycastle Ladies GAA and St Mary’s LGFA Granard

They battled for every ball and score until the final whistle and came away with the win under their belt with the bare 15 to work with each and every girl did amazing and showed great determined throughout the whole game

An absolute fantastic achievement for our Club
Goldsmiths took clubs first adult title’s in our short history by taking Div 5 League Final Vs Shandonagh GAA in Moate last Sunday 2nd July with a of a score 2.12 to 2.2 .
This was followed up with the with Goldsmiths 2 team in another league victory 5 days later in the Division 6 League final Vs Lougnavalley2 with a score line 3.7 to 0.7

A massive well done to our Goalie Saoirse Clyburn on received the Player of the match award. She played a vital part throughout the whole game but showed her skills and confidence in the last 5 mins of the game to hold the victory for the team. Well done Saoirse.

JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI FINAL
It wasn’t our day
We exited the Junior Championship for this year after a narrow four point loss to CillOige at our home venue in Tubberclaire GAA
It was a game we could have won but things just didnt go our way on the day. Each girl on and off the pitch displayed heart and bravery throughout the game but it just didn’t work out in the end. Our girls fought to the bitter end in what was a thrilling encounter.

This was physically tough game for both sides. An exciting match was on display until the final whistle for all spectators yesterday evening.
Little separated the teams at half time.
Goldsmiths showed great courage and commitment throughout the whole game but unfortunately our girls lost out to Garrycastle

Our girls displayed a very strong performance from the start of the match and lead at half time by 9 points
St Pauls/Delvin clawed their way back in the second half but our girls dug deep to hold on to a draw game at the final whistle.

Goldsmiths had 3 teams playing and each and every girl showed brilliant football ability and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Our Minor girls commenced their Championship match this evening against a very tough St Lomans side
Goldsmiths showed determination and persistence and never gave up. They played very good football throughout the whole game.
A very good first game for this team which they will learn from for future games.
Even tough it wasn’t Goldsmith day today they showed heart and pride in the Goldsmiths Jersey until the final whistle and clawed the scoreline right back to just 5 point difference at the final whistle.

Our U12 girls continued their League hosting Cill Oige on Thursday evening last 5th May in Tang Gaa.
A thrilling match from start to finish with both sides racking up some fabulous scores.
Beautiful football on display in all positions on the pitch with some massive saves from the Goalie.
With only a few scores in it at the final whistle our girls lost our narrowly on this occasion.

Our U14 Goldsmith Girls had a fantastic start to their league campaign. They met the Athlone LGFA side Tuesday evening last where Athlone GAA hosted this first exciting league game
A thrilling game it was displaying very impressive football skills from both sides
The game was nearly level at the half time stage and with the wind playing a major role in the 2nd half our Goldsmith Girls dug deep and showed great resilience and determination throughout the whole game.
A very exciting and rewarding first match of the league for our U14 Girls as they proved to be the better side on the day claiming victory at the final whistle.

Our U16 Goldsmith Girls continued their league campaign this evening where they travelled to Millingar to play Mullingar Shamrocks.
Once again great football skills and determination showed by both sides but unfortunately Mullingar Shamrocks were victorious this evening.
